Treating high ammonia hebei meihua MSG Projects

 

  Introduction
Hebei Meihua Monosodium Glutamate Group is the largest manufacturer of MSG in China, monosodium glutamate-based products, by-products such as starch, glutamate, a bacterial protein and fertilizer.
Circular economy and sustainable development as company strategic principles, production scale has grown increasingly and there is large demand for water, it is more stringent for groundwater resources shortage and the state environmental requirements, so the depth wastewater treatment and reuse requirements meet the the needs of business development and national policies and regulations, wastewater treatment can achieve zero emissions and emission reduction as well as the purpose of saving water.
Meihua Group in Hebei and Inner Mongolia have three companies, the total monosodium glutamate output is 120,000T, the total wastewater volume is 17,000 T/D by 2006.Double membrane method for treatment of wastewater is by motimo from 2006.

 Scope of Work
MOTIMO has undertaken and completed project design, equipment installation, commissioning.

 General Information
MOTIMO undertook the first phase construction of Hebei Meihua MSG 2000 T/D wastewater treatment in 2006. The project was put into operation in November 2007 ,passed the inspection and has been operated stably so far.Due to the desired effect of MBR in the removal of COD, NH4-N, in order to meet user’s request, the traditional process equipment of the original 2000 T/D was transformed in August 2009, the scale is 2000 T/D, the system runs stably after using MBR process, the total current scale is 4000 T/D, the NH4-N, COD removal efficiency is significant.

 Membrane Module Info
The project uses MOTIMO’s FP-A215 curtain membrane module (material is PVDF, the effective membrane area is 20m2,pore size is 0.2μm), designed operation flux is 10LM2H (instantaneous flux is 12.5LM2H), water quality is better than the industrial emission standards (see Table 2).

 Conculution
The implementation of the project on the one hand can achieve the utilization of water resource, thus the sewage discharge can be greatly reduced, the significant improvements in the conflicts with the surrounding environment can be brought, on the other hand , the NH4-N ,COD and other pollution loads to local water were significantly reduced. We can know from the practical application of the project that MOTIMO’s MBR system has advanced and reliable technology, plays an important role in making wasterwater become resource and shows superior performance especially for high strength ammonia wastewater treatment.
Since the delivery, the project has operated stably, safely and economically.
